I need to cite a video in MLA format.
Answer
You can find the Lanier Tech 9th ed. MLA Guide on the MLA Style Tab of the Citation Guides Research Guide.
NOTE: Video and audio sources need to be documented using the same basic guidelines for citing print sources in MLA style. Include as much descriptive information as necessary to help readers understand the type and nature of the source you are citing. If the author’s name is the same as the uploader, only cite the author once. If the author is different from the uploaded, cite the author’s name before the title.
Format:
“Title of Film.” Name of Site, Producer, Date of Publication, URL, DOI or Permalink. Accessed DD Mon. YYYY.
“Title of Video.” Name of Site, uploaded by Name, Date of Upload, URL, DOI, or Permalink. Accessed DD Mon. YYYY.
